Classwork:

Standard #2: Content Knowledge and How to Teach It Questions

This assignment is related to the Teacher Professional Standards. Here I was able to answer some questions related to Standard #2: Content Knowledge and How to Teach It. This homework allowed me to understand and recognize the professional standards teachers should follow in their professional life.

Fifth grade lesson plan

This document evidences a fifth-grade Spanish course lesson plan. In this microclass plan, I was able to create instructional objectives and sequences of activities appropriate for fifth-grade students.  For this lesson plan, I created various teaching materials and powerpoint presentations.

Reflection:

This course has given me a deeper understanding of how to choose appropriate texts, design engaging reading activities, and guide students in becoming more thoughtful, independent readers. I also explored strategies to help students express themselves clearly through writing, whether it’s creative storytelling or writing persuasive pieces. This course helped me see the importance of building a strong reading-writing connection and creating a classroom environment that encourages discussion, reflection, and growth.
