Relationship between anxiety and academic performance in university Students from an institution in the Northwest of Puerto Rico
This Word document contains a research paper related to anxiety and academic performance. Throughout the semester, I investigated how anxiety affects the academic performance of students in the Department of Education in a college institute. This task helped me develop my investigative skills, also teaching me how to write correctly and reference other author´s work to sustain my ideas.
Reflection:
Conducting an investigation on the relationship between anxiety and academic performance among university students in the Northwest of Puerto Rico was both eye-opening and meaningful. This research allowed me to explore how emotional and mental well-being directly impacts students' ability to succeed academically. Throughout the process, I learned the importance of collecting reliable data, analyzing it, and interpreting the results within a real-life context. It was especially powerful to see how common anxiety is among college students and how it can affect concentration, motivation, and overall academic outcomes. This experience helped me grow not only as a student-researcher but also as a future educator. It reminded me of the importance of creating supportive environments where students feel safe, valued, and equipped with strategies to manage stress.
